“The Lord says ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.”
Psalm 32:8
Do you want to live your best life? In this Psalm, God promises that He will guide us in the BEST pathway for our lives. Not the mediocre one… not the “that’s good enough” one… definitely not the worst one! God wants what is best for us! The best way to live your best life is for us to trust Him and follow Him.
If you continue reading, the next part of this verse says “I (the Lord) will advise you and watch over you.” He doesn’t abandon us, He goes with us everywhere. And He goes with us so we can live our best life! We need to learn to listen to Him as He advises; spend time with Him, and worship Him. He will watch over us!
John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came to give us life, and to have that life to the full! He is “able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine!” (Ephesians 3:20). Isn’t that what we want for our lives? A full life that is way more and way better than we ever could have imagined?
But we must be willing to surrender to him, to walk with him, to cast all our cares and worries on him, even when it doesn’t make sense. Even in the times when it doesn’t feel like we are living our best life. Because as Isaiah said in chapter 55:8 & 9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
He’s got good things, the BEST things planned for us… more than we could ever fathom. Walk in that, dear friend, trust him! Trust him with every little detail of your life so you can live your best life!
